Ray Robinson

When we say Ray Robinson was first with the weather, we mean two things! Not only was he known for his fine abilities, but also he was first to present regular five minute weather programs. His first broadcast was in 1947, over WADC, however, he had been in the weather service since 1927. His work took him to Wisconsin , Indiana , Ohio ( Cleveland ) and Pennsylvania before he was assigned to the Akron Municipal Airport in 1936. He moved to the Akron/Canton Airport in 1950, where he remained until his retirement in 1965.
