      He began his radio career as a teenager diong a remote at WSRS in Cleveland in 1954. Ten years later Robert moved to Moline, Illinois to begin an impressive broadcast career at WQUA as a nighttime personality. Though his alter ego "Adam Jones" did not begin at that time. It was in Moline that he met Gordon Van Waes wlho was eventurlly to become the "Bob Allen" of "Adam ande Bob", a uniquely good natured pairing. As a dynamic duo, the two of them moved to WPTF in Raleigh, NC in 1976 two years before arriving in Akron for some 13 yers of humor and good will. They became a morning fixture at WAKR and a "lovable pair of nuts". Both "Adam" and "Bob" appeared at remote broadcasts and championed a wide variety of causes and fund-raises as an unforgettable team.
