"Matt Patrick" Michael Ryan Mornings are brighter over WKDD when Matt Patrick opens the microphone to offer his early a.m. good cheer to listeners who are starting their day. With one of the longest continuous broadcast records in the area, he's helped make the station a top-40 power in contemporary hit radio ever since he joined the station in 1982. He was Born in Cleveland, Ohio. He began his career at WMDI in erie, Pennsylvania. He moved to WCUE-Akron from 1979-1981 as music director and air personality before beginning his long-standing association with WKDD. His sense of humor and response to his audiences have made him one of the most listened for "voices" on the air. He's an active community volunteer, working forWeaver Industries, Make A Wish and the annual Christmas Tree Festival beneifit for Children's Hospital of Akron. He was cited by Akron Beacon Journal as the area's "most recognized radio person" and is considered the "rock" of WKDD both on and off the air. |
