Kevin Ruic’s announcing career began at age 16 when he announced auto races at Cloverleaf Speedway in Cleveland . His official radio career started in 1962 in Newbury , Ohio at WNOB.

 His interest in auto racing has brought him to both radio and television. He was a regular correspondent on Cleveland ’s popular “Morning Exchange” with reports on the racing world.

 He has brought many innovations to the auto sports entertainment world such as nationally televised motorcycle demolition derbies and a motorboat demolition derby.

 Ruic’s career was brought to an abrupt end in Billings , Montana in 1990 when he was struck by an out-of-control motorcycle while announcing a motorcycle demolition derby. He is now semi-retired.
