Jerry McKiernan *

     Jerry McKiernan was born in 1910 and died in 1980. At age 17, he was hired as an announcer for WADC. Later he was on the announcing staff of WJW, WAKR and WKBN. He was an expert on the ukulele, was also a baritone soloist. He left Akron to join the management of WMOX in Mississippi Soon after, Jerry became the executive editor of the Meridian Star newspaper.
