Jimmy Dudley

         Jimmy Dudley, the Voice of Cleveland Sports for almost three decades, was voted #1 in Radio and Television Sportscasting for five consecutive years and has received AFTRA’s Top Sports Broadcasting Award.

   This respected sportscaster spent 20 years reporting Cleveland Indian games on radio and television and 8 years doing play-by-play for the Browns.

   Other professional football teams he co-announced include the Detroit Lions, Baltimore Colts and Seattle Pilots. His 10 years of college football broadcasts included games at Notre Dame, Ohio State and the University of Washington.

   He has also covered soccer, boxing, ice hockey, basketball and golf.

   He died in Tucson, Arizona, on February 12, 1999 at the age of 89.
