Herb Thomas is Found and President of Thomas Visions Productions. He has thirty (30) year history in television. Currently he is a photojournalist for Fox 8 Cleveland, Ohio. He has won nine Emmys for his work. He is a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, and founder of the Prayer Warriors, a Cleveland grouop that took gospel out of the church and into the world. "I could not do TV if I didn't have a spiritual side." Herb lived with his grandmother until he was age 9. He moved to Cleveland and lived with his father, Rev. Willie Butler. Herb was educated in Cleveland Public Schools and attended Kansas State University School of Art and Cooper School of Art Advanced Workshop. Currently at TV 8, Herb is a news Videographer, Creative Director for Director of Neighborhood (nine weekly public service program) a special Assignment Photo Journalist. He has traveled to Israel, Armenia, El Salvador for assignments and been a writer/creator, composer and director of play "Savior" series as well as other productions such as "From Slavery to the Future". Professional awards are numerous, yet Herb still finds time for community service. Herb enjoys photography, music, art/sketching, painting and writing. A co-worker once commented "the thing I like most about Herb is that his camera feels pictures". | |
