Harold Nelson *

      Harry James, Skitch Henderson and other Big Band leaders would be glad to know that Mr. Music is being inducted into the Akron Radio Hall of Fame. These friends of Harold Nelson, Mr. Music, were aware of his talent and of his frequent performances over area radio stations during the 1940’s and 50’s. Both a pianist and an orchestra leader, Mr. Nelson was the leader of the Goodyear Aircraft Orchestra for many years. Harold Nelson was also known as being with the Burkhardt Master-Blenders and he played two half-hour shows each week for many years over the Burkhardt Network on WAKR and WADC. He died in 1964.
