Harrison was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and began his career in broadcasting as President of KVOR, Inc., licensee of radio stations KVOR-AM and FM in Colorado Springs . He also was President of KTUR, Inc., owner of KCEY, Turlock , California . His Akron radio career began with the acquisition of the then WADC in 1964. The call letters were changed to WSLR and the station was reprogrammed to become the first full-time country music station north of the Mason-Dixon Line . He was President of Welcome Radio, Inc., licensee of WSLR since 1964 and WKDD since 1982, to the sale of the stations in 1984. He joined the Kohrman, Jackson & Krantz PLL Firm in Cleveland as of-counsel in 1990. |
