Edward M. Palmer *

      Edward M. Palmer was born in 1904 and died in 1977. He teamed with Lou Henderson in a vaudeville act. He joined the staff of WFJC as an announcer and singer. He promoted and produced radio shows for local stations. He founded and published “What’s Doin’ in Akron.” He owned and managed Summit Beach Park for many years. He was the President of the South Akron Board of Trade. He founded and managed the original Summit County Fair. He operated Ed Palmer Associates, a public relations firm in Akron. In 1975, he retired to Fort Myers Beach in Florida.
