Edward F. Devine was born in Weehawken, New Jersey, January 29, 1925, as the sixth of nine children. He received his BBA from Pace University in New York City and attended Fordham University Law School . Upon graduation from Pace, he worked for IBM World Headquarters in New York City until he moved to Florida in 1955 and became the first Finance Director and Acting City Manager of North Miami Beach. In 1960, he began his Radio/TV career with the NBC Radio & TV affiliate in Miami , Florida . He joined Group One Broadcasting in 1965 as Business Manager. In 1968, he was elected Administrative Vice President for Group One’s Akron , Dayton , Dallas , and Denver stations, and in 1981, became Executive Vice President and Treasurer. Ed is a Charter Member and former Board Member of The Broadcast Financial Management Association. Edward and his wife, Peggy, have been married 19 years (as of 1985), reside in Stow, attend Holy Family Church, and have four married children and eight grandchildren. |
