Dan John Ryan

Dan Ryan’s 49 year radio career began in 1946 at WRRN in Warren, Ohio, but when WBBW signed on in 1949, Ryan was there. He has been an important force in Youngstown , Ohio , radio since that time.

 He became the first and favorite with the youth in the area and introduced the concept of record hops to the teenagers in 1953.

 In the late 50’s, Ryan shifted to the news department, which then allowed an easy transition to talk radio in 1965. He moved to WKBN in 1984, taking with him, his many radio friends. He remains at WKBN and is rated number one in his time slot.
