Charles "Chuck" Hoover

      In 1946, Chuck joined WHKK as a staff announcer and disc jockey. This was the beginning of a radio career that has continued to the present time. He left Akron in 1950 to become the first morning man on WKOK, Cleveland. In 1953, he went to WTAM, Cleveland as a director and continued at WRCV, the NBC station in Philadelphia . While he was there, he also did feeds for NBC’s “Monitor” on radio and the “Today Show” on television. He currently is with WFMR, Milwaukee ’s Classical Music Station.
